Thornberry, Daniel Win At WindStone
Braden Thornberry of Olive Branch, Miss.,
finished at 4-under-par 206 to win the Evitt
Foundation RTC Junior All-Star, while Jordan
Daniel of Newnan, Ga., protected her 36-hole
lead with a final-round 72 and won the Girls
Division with a 5-over-par total.
Thornberry birdied No. 17 and parred No. 18
at WindStone Golf Club in Ringgold, Ga., to secure
a three-shot victory. Issei Tanabe of Huntington
Beach, Calif., and Jalen Ledger of Palm Beach
Gardens, Fla., tied for second at 1-under par.
Daniel led wire to wire and improved upon
her 14th-place finish from a year ago. Payton
Schanen of Kennesaw, Ga., finished second at
8-over par, while Kaitlyn Papp of San Antonio
finished third at 11-over par.
