Max Homa is quickly becoming one of the best players in Cal men’s golf program
history. Homa is the active career leader in every major statistical category: He
leads the team in stroke average (72.4) and shares the lowest 18-hole score (63).
Homa, a junior for the Golden Bears, has recorded seven top- 10 finishes (six of
them top 5s) and one career tie for medalist honors. Away from school, Homa,
No. 32 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, recorded a T5 at this year’s Jones
Cup. In 2011, he posted a fourth-place finish at The Players Amateur, T8 at the
Sunnehanna Amateur and a T21 at the Porter Cup.
