McIlroy and Watson (Bubba,
not Tom). Westwood double-
bogeyed the 18th for the second
day in a row. Two closing pars
would have seen him at 8-under
par with a three-shot lead.
McIlroy’s romance with
America continued to blos-
som among the blossoms.
With Tiger teeing off late, Rory
shared the roaming gallery
with Phil. “Here we go, baby.
Here he comes,” yelled a yahoo
behind the 18th. Rory has been
awarded he status along with
Tiger and Phil. They are Amer-
ica’s golfing holy trinity. Rory
praised the Augusta patrons
who have taken him to their
hearts. “I certainly don’t feel
like a foreigner. It’s really nice to
hear and see them all support-
ing me.” He also paid tribute
to Freddie. “He’s just cool,”
McIlroy said with a grin. “I hope
I’m that cool when I’m 52.”
