Julien Brun arrived at Texas Christian University as one of the top-ranked
amateurs in the world. Last summer, Brun, No. 13 in the World Amateur
Golf Ranking, won the European Nations tournament in Spain, and followed
that with a tie for second at the Lytham Trophy in England, and capped off his
season with a third-place finish at the European Amateur in Sweden. Now a
freshman at TCU, Brun has had an immediate impact, recording five top 10s in
his first six events, including two individual victories. Fittingly, Brun has been
added to the Ben Hogan Award watch list.
