Ian Poulter followed his first-round exit at
the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship
by blasting back at television commentator
Poulter won the event
two years ago and last May
captured golf’s other World
Match Play title in Spain,
but he was beaten 4& 3 by
Korean Sang-Moon Bae.
Critchley, a former Walk-
er Cup player, offered the
opinion on Sky Sports that Poulter, who has his
own clothing company, was maybe not focusing
on his golf as much as he could.
“I would love some of our commentators to
do a day in my shoes with family, gym and practice sessions,” Poulter tweeted to his million-plus followers on Twitter.

its 2012 schedule of the Million Dollar Invitationals and World Putting Championships.
Open to the public, the four-tournament series
of Million Dollar Invitationals is composed of
nine-hole shootouts, with the winner of each
earning $1 million. Winners of the World Putting Championships earn $100,000. Both are
made-for-television events. The plan is for
them to air on CBS in late fall. The events will
be played on premier courses in the U.S.,
Europe and the Caribbean.
