Chip Lutz, of Reading, Pa., won the Cana-
dian Men’s Senior Championship while 2010
champion Paul Simson finished with runner-
up honors at Twin Rivers Golf Course in Port
Blanford, N.L.
With his victory in Canada and win earlier
this month at the Seniors Open Amateur Cham-
pionship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland,
Lutz will attempt to repeat the historic feat that
Simson completed last season. Last year, Sim-
son became the first player to hold the national
senior amateur titles of Canada, the UKI and
the U.S. in the same year.
Lutz carded a final-round, 3-under-par 68 to
finish 7-under-par 277 for the championship.
On a breezy day at Twin Rivers Golf Course,
Lutz was the only player to shoot a final-round
score of par or better. The champion, who bird-
ied four of his last seven holes, won the title by
an impressive nine strokes over Simson.
Great writing to
go along with those
pretty pictures.
You get it.
