Don’t let Gavin Hall’s world ranking fool you. Even at No. 1,082 in the World
Amateur Golf Ranking, Hall is one of the most highly sought after high school
juniors by college coaches across the country. At 16, the powerful lefty has
enjoyed a solid junior career. Earlier this summer, Hall won the New York State
High School championship, and just last week he tied for 10th at the Junior PGA
Championship, firing rounds of 75-72-73-72 after a six-week layoff recovering
from wrist surgery. Last year, Hall finished second at the Porter Cup, beating
top amateurs like Peter Uihlein, Russell Henley and Harris English.
