Korea’s Jin Jeong reclaimed the top
spot in the World Amateur Golf Rank-
ing, sliding by Peter Uihlein by less
than nine points. This is the second
time Jeong has found himself atop the
rankings. Ireland’s Paul Cutler jumped
seven spots to the 10th position, Eng-
land’s Matt Nixon jumped eight spots to
No. 15, and England’s Tommy Fleet-
wood moved up five positions to No. 21.
The big move came from U.S. Junior
champion Jim Liu, who climbed 300
spots to No. 195 in the world by virtue
of becoming the youngest player to win
the Junior title. The rankings do not
include results from the Porter Cup,
where both Jeong and Uihlein played
last week, nor results from last week’s
English, Scottish or Wales Amateur
Championships.
