Richard “Richie” Anderson

70, a former Minnesota Se-
niors champion and Golfweek’s
Super Senior Player of the year
in 2008 and 2009, passed away
May 7. Anderson, who lived in
Minnesota and was a member
of Interlachen Country Club,
was diagnosed with brain can-
cer in mid-April.
Annika Sorenstam
has
signed to design the Olivion
Golf Resort, in Belek, Turkey. It
will be her first course design
project in Europe and ninth
worldwide. Sorenstam and
Stan Eby
, of European Golf
Design, have begun routing the
course. Construction is due to
start in spring 2011 and the
course will open in 2012.
UBS announced it will
continue as title sponsor of the
Hong Kong Open. The tourna-
ment, co-sanctioned by the
European Tour, Asian Tour and
