South Korea’s Se Ri Pak made a
10-foot putt on the third extra hole of
a sudden-death playoff Sunday in the
rain in Alabama to defeat Brittany Lin-
cicome and win the Bell Micro Classic
in Mobile. Suzann Pettersen, who was
tied with Lincicome and Pak at the end
of 54 holes, dropped out with a bogey
on the second hole of the playoff.
The win was the first for Hall of
Famer Pak since 2007 and the 25th
of her LPGA career. She is now 6-0
lifetime in playoffs. Pak also made a
10-footer for par on the second playoff
hole to keep her hopes alive.
LPGA Player’s Death Remains Shrouded In Mystery

Blasberg is now set for Wednesday in
Corona, Calif. Blasberg is the 25-year-old
LPGA player who was found dead in her
Nevada home last week. Authorities still
haven’t announced a cause of death. And
Blasberg’s friends and family are still try-
ing to piece together what happened.

Murphy said a ruling on a cause of death
was pending blood and tissue tests that

Blasberg was in her sixth season
on the LPGA Tour. She was a former
junior golf standout, an All-American in
2003 and 2004. She was the 2003 NCAA
Freshman of the Year and 2003 Pac- 10
Player of the Year while at the Univer-
sity of Arizona. She turned professional
in June 2004 and won once on the
Duramed Futures Tour before qualifying
for the LPGA Tour in 2005.
