SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS |
Adam Scott broke a
nearly two-year winless drought by taking the
Valero Texas Open at TPC San Antonio by one
shot over Fredrik Jacobson.
The final two rounds were played Sunday
due to heavy downpours washing out Friday’s
second round. Scott rode a hot hand on the final
day, going 11 under on Sunday by shooting 66 in
the morning and 67 in the afternoon for a total
of 274, 14-under par.
Scott went out in Sunday afternoon’s final
round in 4-under 32 on the front nine and added
birdies on the par- 4 10th and the par- 4 12th to
open a four-shot lead.
