It came down to the final hole to decide the winner, and in the end Ole Miss came out
on top. Sophomore Joe David got up-and-down to save par on the final hole to give the
Rebels their first tournament title of the year. Ole Miss finished at 13-over-par 877,
one shot clear of Illinois State, which posted the best final round of 4-over 292. Middle
Tennessee senior Kent Bulle and South Alabama junior Jack Hiluta shared medalist
honors at 3-under-par 213.
Miami saved its best for last, firing a season-best, 1-over-par 289 in the final round to edge
Minnesota by one stroke. The Hurricanes finished at 28-over-par 892 to win the event for
the second year in a row. Minnesota improved every round, firing a 4-over 292 in the final
round to finish in solo second at 29-over 893. A pair of sophomores, East Tennessee’s Nina
Muehl and Oral Roberts’ Crystal Reeves, shared medalist honors at 3-under 213.
JL Lewis Intercollegiate

North Texas won its first tournament title in five years, posting a rain-shortened total
of 17-over-par 585. Rice posted the best round of the tournament with a final-round,
4-over 288 but finished in second, seven back at 24-over 592. North Texas senior
Peter Fallon took medalist honors, the first of his career, with rounds of 68-74 for an
even-par 142.
Central District Invitational

Florida put on a dominant performance, winning by 29 shots. The Gators won their first
tournament of the season, finishing at 7-under-par 857. TCU was second at 22-over 886.
Four Gators finished in the top 10. Freshman Mia Piccio finished T4 (+ 1) and sophomore
Evan Jensen finished T6 (+ 2). The Lendl sisters, freshman Isabelle and sophomore Marika,
shared medalist honors at 4-under-par 212.
Mardi Gras Invitational

San Diego won the Allstate Sugar Bowl Mardi Gras Invitational, its third-straight title.
The Toreros fired a final-round, 5-over 293 to overcome a two-stroke deficit to North
Carolina State and finish with a winning total of 6-over-par 870. N.C. State finished three
strokes back at 9-over 873. Torero sophomore Alex Ching won medalist honors thanks to
a final-round, 3-under 69 to finish at 9-under 207. N.C. State senior Brad Revell finished
second, six shots behind Ching, at 3-under 213.
Wildcat Invitational

Arizona State won its third title of the season. The Sun Devils finished at 8-over-par 576,
12 shots clear of Arizona. Sun Devil Juliana Murcia continued her strong senior season,
carding rounds of 74-67 to tie for second at 1-under 141. Oklahoma State sophomore
Caroline Hedwall fired a final-round 66 to win medalist honors. She finished the tourna-
ment at 6-under 136.
Puerto Rico Classic

Texas won its first title since November 2008. The Longhorns finished the tournament
at 42-under-par 822, six shots clear of Oklahoma State, which finished at 36-under
828. The Longhorns landed three players in the top 10 – freshman Cody Gribble (2nd),
sophomore Dylan Frittelli (T4) and junior Bobby Hudson (T7). Oklahoma State junior
Kevin Tway won medalist honors with rounds of 65-68-66 for a 17-under 199 total.
JU Women’s Classic
Hidden;Hills;Country;Club,;jacksonville,;Fla.
Daytona State won its fourth team title of the season, posting a tournament scoring
record of 20-over-par 596 to roll by runner-up Stetson by 12 shots. Freshman Amy
West set a tournament record in the first round with her 3-under 69, but it was another
freshman, Mitsuki Katahira, who took medalist honors with rounds of 73-71 to finish at
even-par 144.
