SEC, meet your player of the year in 2009. Candace Schepperle, now a senior
at Auburn University, is a powerhouse when it comes to amateur golf. In 2007,
she was named the SEC Freshman of the Year, thanks to an impressive rookie
campaign that included a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Championship. In 2009,
she was both the SEC Player of the Year and named a first team All-American
by the National Golf Coaches Association. Schepperle has played in multiple
LPGA events, making the cut at the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open.
